A message from President/CEO
Robert M. Boland
AltaOne has a very proud heritage, celebrating over 60 years as a safe and sound federal credit union. Today, AltaOne is over $500 million in assets strong with more than 47,000 members. You, the member, make AltaOne what it is. As a financial cooperative, AltaOne is entirely member-owned and returns earnings back to the membership in the form of competitive loan rates and deposit-shares dividends, low or no service fees, and continuously improving member-centric financial services.
2010 was a challenging time for AltaOne as your credit union promptly adapted to a prolonged recessionary economy while it continued to work diligently to maintain member service centers in neighborhood communities, provide convenient and efficient services and state-of-the-art ATMs to better serve you, our member-owners. AltaOne is financially healthy in 2011 and is building up greater capital, eroded previously by the weak national, state and local economies, to further ensure a continued financially healthy organization for our members today and tomorrow.
Leading your credit union are the Board of Directors, other Volunteers, and the Senior Management Staff. I report directly to the entire Board of Directors, comprised of member-owners like you, who volunteer much time and talents to ensure AltaOne is the best federal credit union it can be for other member-owners. These Board Members consistently represent the best interests of the entire membership and do not receive any monetary compensation for their volunteered services in a governance role. Your current Board of Directors are: Dixie Chantler, Chair; Bret Jacobson, Vice Chair; Gene Parks, Treasurer; Teri Morrow, Secretary; Dr. Karen Higgins, Member; David Ostash, Member; Jaime Rios, Member.
The Senior Management reports directly to me and takes superb care of the various daily operations to maintain premier service to you. My current senior leadership team consists of George M. ("Bud") Haslam, Vice President Finance/Facilities; Kelly Curtis, Vice President Member Lending Services; Wendy Cleveland, Vice President Marketing/Business Development & Member Service Centers; Lisa Harlow, Vice President Human Resources/Administration; and Jason Silberberg, Vice President Member Accounts & Technology Support.
